Going through a separation is hard enough. It can be even harder when you are trying to determine how long marriage separation should last. When we separate from our spouse the length of time should not be the first thing we think about. It should be how can I fix my marriage (if that's what you want) and what will I learn from this separation. Anything worth repairing takes time and should not be rushed.
