Heinz Ramm-Schmidt remembers how he became the first Nautor Swan customer

Heinz Ramm-Schmidt had a prominent role in the birth of Nautor. He was the first customer who in 1966 ordered a Swan 36 to be named Tarantella. And the rest is, as they say, history. In the video Heinz Ramm-Schmidt tells the story how Pekka Koskenkylä, displaying lots of Finnish "sisu", tried to sell him the boat; who at the end made the purchase decision and what happened next! In the video Ramm-Schmidt is 95 years old (he was born in 1920). The original Tarantella is today owned by Nautor and still sails. Tarantella II, the Swan 37, is owned by Ramm.Schmidt's son Leif and is also still sailing and racing. Subtitles in English.
