In this episode, SIGN OF LIFE - ASSIS-SP - PART 1 - #023, we arrived in the city of Assis-SP and found a safe place to spend the night aboard SPUTNIK 1, beginning another stage of our journey through the interior of São Paulo state. Our first stop was at the imposing monument to Saint Francis of Assisi, one of the city's landmarks, affectionately nicknamed "Tin Man" by the locals because of its metal construction. Next, Meg and I visited the beautiful Lago Parque das Águas (Lake Water Park), a very pleasant place to walk, appreciate nature, and enjoy moments of tranquility. A place worth visiting for anyone visiting Assis.
