El ARGOS CIES es un arrastrero de 74 metros de eslora que fue construido por el astillero Nodosa. Con una inversión superior a los 15 millones de euros, el Argos Cies tiene su base de operaciones en Malvinas, sustituyendo definitivamente al emblemático Estai (rebautizado como Argos Galicia), el buque que protagonizó la conocida como «guerra del fletán», cuando, en 1995, fue detenido en Terranova por las autoridades canadienses acusado de pescar en sus aguas exclusivas.
