I made an italian Renaissance kirtle from 1490s

In this video, I make a 1490s Venitian style kirtle or Gamurra. This gown could be worn on its own for informal occasions or as an undergown for an outer dress that would partially cover this. This is worn over a shift (your underwear layer) and is both dress and bust support in one garment. The sleeves of this style of gown are detachable so they can be swapped for others of a different material, usually fancier than the gown itself.
