For nearly 10 years, a man using the pseudonym Heimu tried to drive psychologically vulnerable women to suicide in internet forums. He did so with impunity – until the mother of one of his victims became suspicious. She set the case in motion. In 2016, Heimu was brought to trial in Giessen, marking a new chapter for the justice system. Heimu, whose real name is Brunhold S., was convicted. While he was still serving his prison sentence, the Limburg public prosecutor's office also filed charges against him.
