The tuning is E standard tuning, E A D G B E. "Whipping Post" has a ton of great guitar parts to learn. From the killer riffs to the guitar harmony sections, you will find it all here in this video lesson. However, since "Whipping Post" was used as a great improvisation vehicle, that allowed the band to create amazing 30 MINUTE long live versions with dazzling improvisation throughout, I thought it would be best to tackle those solo sections by demonstrating WHAT Duane and Dickey are doing so that you can create your own improvisation as well.
