FFXI - Odyssey solo/lowman alternative method to charge moogle amplifier/farm RP
For any lowman/casual groups still working on Odyssey, this is an alternate method to obtain R15 Nyame armor easily in comparison to completing the whole V15/V20 climb that isn't made obvious by the game. If you managed to get a V15/20 clear with a pug or your static has disbanded before fully augmenting the gear you wanted, you can also use this method. While it's not as efficient as chaining 3 V20 NMs, it's better than not obtaining any RP. Starting from scratch, first complete any Atonement 1 NM up to V15 (Dealan-dhe is the easiest), giving access to the V20 fight. From there, complete the V0 climb to Bumba. Finally, complete either the V1 or V5 climb to Bumba, depending on if you intend to continue climbing to V15/20. This will take 108k segments minimum, assuming no losses. If you know someone that already has access to V20 Atonement 1 NMs and V1 Bumba willing to help, you can bypass this. 1. Enter Sheol-Gaol with 3 Moglophone IIs. 2. Use 1st Moglophone II, RR up, fight V20 butterfly, damage them 6-9%, die/get up or cc, time out to the lobby. 3. Use 2nd Moglophone II to enter V20 butterfly again, RR up, do another 6-9% damage, die/get up or cc, time out to lobby. 4. Use 3rd Moglophone II to enter V20 butterfly for a 3rd time, RR up, do another 6-9%+ (just don't push to 75% or add will spawn that gives NM regen), die/get up or cc, time out to lobby. 5. Leave Sheol-Gaol, buy a new set of Moglophone II + moogle amplifier. 6. Enter Sheol-Gaol. 7. Now use the Mog Amp, RR up, fight V1+ Bumba. Win (or lose, with at least 6% damage, get up and time out to lobby.) WARNING: I was having issues with getting RP from V1 Bumba only doing 6% and had to kill it, however doing 6% to V15 Bumba yielded RP as expected. If only doing 6%, consider doing V2 or above. 8. Get enhanced RP from that Bumba. V1 yields 4200~ (kill), V15 yields 5000~ (6%), V20 yields 5600~ (6%), in the future V25 should yield 7000~(6%), assuming you charge the amp with x3 V25 butterfly. The butterfly takes damage from any type pretty well, so take your best geared jobs. At the time of uploading this video, now is a great time to try this with trusts having boosted stats and Cornelia available. Remember that if a trust dies, you can resummon another one while in combat, just know that each trust can only be summoned once while in the 3 NM gauntlet, so don't burn all your healers/tanks/supports too quickly.
