While roasting outdoors amidst falling cherry blossoms, the idea struck me and my body was already moving. For this roasting, we used Iwatani Corporation's renowned "MY ROAST" machine. Taking advantage of its double-cylinder, sealed space, we added dried "real cherry blossom petals" and "cherry blossom branches (chips)" along with the green coffee beans. [Story: Professional Dedication] The base coffee beans are, of course, "Sakura Bourbon (Brazil)," the quintessential coffee that heralds spring. Under a cherry blossom tree outdoors, the aroma of cherry blossoms penetrated deep into the beans. This ultimate "smoke roasting" method was made possible only with the MY ROAST, which allows for complete control of drum rotation speed and exhaust volume.
