This is their sad reality: people criticize others because they have unresolved problems in their own lives, they harbor hatred, anger, or envy. The Golden Rule of Jesus of Nazareth is "Love your neighbor as yourself." So, if a person loves themselves, loves their life, loves what they do, loves everything related to their life, as a consequence, they will love others. Conversely, if a person hates themselves, hates their life, and has unresolved problems, or has that famous "plank in their eye" they haven't removed, as a consequence, they will hate others. That's why they criticize on social media; that's why they criticize to your face, in the street, or behind your back, because they have unresolved issues. Furthermore, if that person truly loved their own life, they wouldn't hurt a fly. Then it would be interesting to realize who is criticizing you. You would realize that that person is suffering, and the offense isn't directed at you, but at themselves. It's like a boomerang.
