Sentience - Magnificent Speed
Sentience was a three-piece electronic outfit consisting of Nick Fryer, Martin Dawson and Tom Neville, largely gaining fame for themselves by appearing on the soundtrack for controversial video game Carmageddon II: Carpocalypse Now. The songs "Finer Scale", "Magnificent Speed" and "Machine Directa" were featured in the game. The three songs (created by band who at the time didn't have a member older than 20) from their 1998 album "Eye for an (I)", were a clever fusion of metal guitars and various electronic styles such as breakbeat and techno. As far as I know there are no other recordings by Sentience. Eye for an (I) 01 - Time Is Now 02 - Machine Directa 03 - Eternal 04 - Alive 05 - A.O.K. (Everything Is) 06 - 2nd Step 07 - Finer Scale 08 - Magnificent Speed 09 - Pressure Them 10 - Experiment On God
