The only thing that tells the truth on this carton is a single digit stamped on the eggshell underneath, and in Poland, 70% of the time, that digit is a 3. In this video, we turn over eight of the most frequently purchased cartons from Biedronka, Lidl, Aldi, Kaufland, and Netto. We show why the "Happy Henhouse" isn't a happy one, why the egg with the cartoon meadow comes from Ferma Woźniak in Kalisz, which Otwarte Klatki published as investigative material and is now being investigated by the prosecutor's office, and why one of Aldi's cartons for eight złoty means that two thousand hens in the same shed have never seen grass or sunlight.
