Kabyle Tradition: Tafsut with the children of Elina Leane Nursery 🌸 Amager n Tefsut | Welcoming Spring in Kabylia – An Ancestral Kabyle Tradition 🌿 Amager n Tefsut (the welcoming of spring) is an ancestral Kabyle tradition celebrated every year around mid-March in Kabylia. On this occasion, Kabyle women, accompanied by their children, head to the fields to spend a joyful day in the heart of nature. 🎒 This edition was organized by the private nursery Elina Leane, offering children an authentic immersion into Kabyle traditions from an early age, while strengthening their connection to nature and their cultural heritage. With traditional Kabyle songs, moments of sharing, and the preparation of traditional dishes, the day is also marked by the gathering of wild spring plants. These plants are then used to prepare the famous herb couscous (multi-plant couscous), a symbol of renewal and a deep connection to the land. This tradition aims to pass on to children a love for the land, as well as the importance of preserving and valuing it through agricultural work and ancestral knowledge.
