This is the story of a couple who transformed their small apartment into a library. It is their home, their workplace, and a special space surrounded by books. More than 30 years ago, they founded a small publishing house called Écrit (ECRIT), driven by an irresistible passion for creating books. From that journey, a private library named Kirin Bunko was born. Within a space of about 60 square meters, there are over 1,800 books dedicated solely to trees. The atmosphere is warmed by old furniture and everyday tools that carry a quiet charm. Each morning begins with grinding coffee beans by hand, and each season brings its own harvest — a life shaped by small, enduring joys. The couple, who believe in the warmth of the old rather than the shine of the new, quietly show us how happiness can be found close at hand, in ways we may have overlooked.
