Sooo tasty, soooo flavorsome, sooo mouthwatering... although slightly fatty dish :-) I love this recipe because effectively we can create an amazing tomato sauce base that you can use also for some pasta: you kill two birds with one stone! I will show you how to cook these Italian pork sausages in an ocean of tomato sauce: get ready with some freshly grilled bread to be dipped in the sauce - what's a sausage-base tomato sauce worthy anyway if you don't do a nice "scarpetta" in there? Start by chop the onion finely and let it sweat in abundant olive oil; 2. Add the sausages in there and let them cook 3-4 minutes each side; 3. It's time to add the glass of white wine - let it evaporate; 4. Now add the passata, turn the heat at the minimum, put the lid on and let everything cook for at least 1/1.5 hours; 5. Make sure that you remove the lid for the last 20 minutes of cooking; 6. Add a few basil leaves, salt and pepper to your taste; 7. Serve and ENJOY!
