Alinker Walking Bike | The Henry Ford's Innovation Nation
In this segment of The Henry Ford's Innovation Nation, Alie Ward meets with Bea Alink, the inventor of the Alinker walking bike. The Alinker is a non-motorized walking-bike without pedals. With an adjustable saddle and handlebars, it is custom designed to challenge society’s assumptions about disability. Alink's goal is to make it as easy and fun as possible for people with mobility limitations to stay physically active, socially connected, and emotionally engaged in the community. The Alinker has an adjustable seat, handlebars, brakes, an aluminum structure, and three wheels -- two in the front and one in the back. The adjustable seat and small rear wheel allows users to walk directly onto the seat without having to swing their leg over like on a traditional bike. Like, share, and subscribe!
