EHI Online Workshop | Ecodesign & Energy Labeling as a policy lever for energy efficiency

During this session, Veerle Beelaerts, Head of Technology at the EHI Secretariat, delivered a presentation on Ecodesign and Energy Labelling, outlining their significance in supporting the EU’s decarbonisation objectives. The presentation was followed by a discussion with Philippe Rivière, Policy Officer at the Directorate-General for Energy (DG ENER, Unit B3 – Buildings & Products), and Franz Zach, Senior Expert in Energy Economics at the Austrian Energy Agency. The speakers provided insights into the energy efficiency potential achievable through product policy and examine how the EU-funded project “Compliance Services” contributes to the implementation and success of Ecodesign and Energy Labelling initiatives.
