GARAGE MASK MAKING 1/6

EVERYTHING YOU'LL NEED TO KNOW WHEN MAKING A LATEX MASK! Here is an excellent 5-part video on making latex monster masks. Special effects professional Joe Riley takes you through every step of the process; from sculpting the original form in clay, all the way to making the plaster mold, casting your piece in latex, and finally with detailing it. Riley, a close friend and frequent collaborator on many of my productions, was special effects make up designer, graphic artist, animator and writer from Dallas, Texas. His tremendous talents were featured in movies like Blade: Trinity and Mighty Joe Young, along with television programs like Jimmy Neutron, Dr. Deadly's Theatre of Horrors, and Off The Wall. Many remember his sculpting skills from the life-size vinyl recreations of Watto and Jar Jar Binks used as store displays for Doritos national ad campaign in 1999. Sadly, and much too early, Joe passed away in 2007. You can learn more about him and his work on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Rile...)
