Billy Nomates is a punk singer-songwriter who has been described as 'one of Britain's most distinctive new voices'. In May 2022 she featured on an extraordinary bill of uniquely Bristolian artists as part of the Help! concert celebrating the music of the city and raising much needed funds for War Child's work in Ukraine and conflict zones around the world. We spoke to Billy Nomates backstage to find out what music means to her and why supporting children caught up in war is a cause she cares so much about.
