Clean Before Fast | Guitar Journey Day 19

Day 19 🎸 Yesterday’s practice happened off camera. I spent an hour with my friend, learning new concepts like pivots and note movement, and later practiced on my own just to lock everything into my memory. This morning, with the rain outside, a quiet house, and a guitar in my hands, I went over everything again. I also explored a few beginner riffs from Marty Schwartz. That’s when I noticed something important. I’ve been thinking about speed, but my notes aren’t consistently clean yet. Some of them buzz, some get cut short, and the guitar tells you immediately when your technique isn’t there. So this week’s focus isn’t playing faster. It’s making every note count. I’d rather play slowly and cleanly than quickly and poorly. One day. One practice. 🎸
