Sunburst Youth Academy Class 34 Graduation - Full Ceremony

Video of Sunburst Youth Academy’s Class 32 graduation ceremony, Dec. 19, 2024, in Los Alamitos, California. 191 Southern California teenagers, ages 15.5-18, completed Sunburst's five month residential program – living and going to school on Joint Forces Training Base, Los Alamitos – and earned a year's worth of high school credits in half the time. Among the program graduates are 29 high school seniors who received their diplomas during the ceremony.Sunburst is a tuition-free alternative high school focused on credit recovery, resiliency and leadership. The academy is a National Guard Youth Challenge Program run in partnership between the Orange County Department of Education and the California National Guard's Task Force Torch youth and community programs directorate.
