Why The Dodgers and Giants Moved To California
After over 50 years spent in New York City with the Yankees, the Dodgers and the Giants decided to move west in 1958 amidst controversy and threats. Walter O'Malley leading the move with Horace Stoneham joining him as the Giants went to San Francisco and the Dodgers went to Los Angeles. Despite all the protest and threats from fans, the move was a huge success for the Dodgers and Giants along with all of baseball that led to the current state of baseball.
