Filmed in 2017 by Michael Rothkopf, playing on a guitar built by Robert Ruck in Watson Hall on the campus of UNC School of the Arts in Winston-Salem North Carolina. This is a programmatic two-movement piece about a person scheduled to be executed at dawn. First movement "The Wait" takes place in a prison cell in a high tower as the condemned waits through the night, and the second movement "Dawn" describes his march to the guillotine.
