The final step in the tiling process was the outdoor installation. We're tiling everything from the indoor floor to the baseboard and the exposed porch. The outdoor area is particularly exposed to rain, so we needed to create a slope. Typically, the slope for a bathroom is between 1 and 2 degrees, so we set it at about 1 degree. We used a digital protractor to measure and adjust the slope accordingly. After laying the floor tiles, we needed to work on the vertical surfaces. I thought the concrete base was perfectly square, but after careful measurement, I found that there were areas where the tiles were about 5mm thick, requiring sanding. Sanding can be done with a grinder with a flat blade, but time will tell. You can sand the area to your desired level by frequently replacing and recharging the batteries. Next, we applied tile adhesive evenly, secured it with paper tape, and used wood chips as support. After it had fully hardened, we grouted and finished the job.
