7th Gen Honda Accord Rear Door Child Lock Fix & Hack with Trim Removal in 1080p

Here's a quick procedure on how to diagnose and fix a stuck child safety lock on a 7th generation Honda Accord, common to all 4 door Honda models 2004, 2005, 2006. Tools Used: http://amzn.to/2n2WunT There's a collar that holds the interior door release cable in place that sometimes breaks. The result is the door release still works, but the child safety switch can sometimes get stuck in the engaged mode. I tried more aggressively to toggle the safety lock but when that failed I removed the door trim and discovered the issue. The part that holds the interior door release cable is not readily fixable, so my hack was to at least toggle the child safety lock off and then disable the ability to re-engage the child safety lock completely. I accomplished this by using cutters to cut off the white plastic tab, and then I used some electrical tape to further cover the switch. The switch can still be toggled with a bit of work, but won't accidently be toggled anymore. I reinstalled the door trim, effectively solving the problem and preventing reoccurrence.
