MORNING PRAYER OF FAITH AND GRATITUDE | Give Thanks to God for What You Have and for What's to Come Begin this day in God's presence with a morning prayer filled with faith, gratitude, and trust. Today we draw near to the Lord to give thanks for life, for this new dawn, for family, health, provision, work, the strength we have received, and also for all that God is preparing for what is to come. In this morning prayer, we give thanks to God for what we already have and declare our faith in what we do not yet see. Many times we wake up thinking about what is lacking, about worries, needs, debts, health, work, or the decisions of the day; but today we place everything in the Lord's hands and choose to begin with gratitude, peace, and trust. This prayer is inspired by the teaching of Psalm 100, which invites us to enter God's presence with thanksgiving, and Psalm 103, which reminds us not to forget any of the Lord's blessings. We also reflect on the miracle of the five loaves and two fish, where Jesus gave thanks for the little he had and God multiplied it until there was more than enough. Pray this morning to place your day, your home, your family, your health, your work, your decisions, your worries, and your future in God's hands. May this prayer strengthen your faith, fill your heart with gratitude, and help you begin the day with peace, hope, and spiritual guidance. God has been good to you. God has sustained you thus far.
