Sharp LED TV repair: LC40LE820M completely dead. Spare parts for this Sharp model are very difficult to find in Indonesia. For your information, I had this unit serviced about 5 years ago. The backlight was damaged, using a side panel. It couldn't be modified with another one because there wasn't a suitable space for it. I contacted a Sharp technician friend directly, and he was able to provide the spare part, but I had to order the item. The price for one line was 250,000. This unit has 4 lines, so a set is 1 million. I was shocked by that price, so I contacted the owner. The owner told me to repair it, agreeing to the purchase, considering the TV had been used quite extensively. Now, after 5 years, the unit is having trouble, namely completely dead. I checked the unit at the owner's place and confirmed the problem was with the MB. I tried looking for a second-hand MB, and I was also shocked by the price, which was almost 2 million for a second-hand MB TV 40. I contacted the seller of the universal MB. It turns out the panel is not common, so it can't be replaced with a universal MB. I told him. If I want to have the machine serviced, I'll take it home for a more thorough inspection. If it can't be repaired, I'll give up because the service price isn't commensurate with its size... In short, after getting the service manual and understanding how this MB works, I managed to find the main problem... Edit: I received several comments and happened to have the same unit and the problem for this type: the sensor light often goes off, so the blink code can't be detected. For reference, we can look at the indicator LED on the MB. If it lights up once, it's protection. Check the 13V voltage. If the protection is off, you can remove the MCU memory because the protection data could be caused by corrupted data or the BL light protection data. After removing the memory, if it still flashes once and the 13V is still in protection, we can jumper the BL error pin to GND and restart it. If the MB is still normal, the indicator LED will flash.
