The gynecologist and clinical sexologist is a co-founder of the Center for Interdisciplinary Sexology and Medicine in Zurich and, in addition to her own therapeutic practice, leads Sexocorporel training courses in Berlin, Kisslegg, and Zurich. While Sexocorporel is already well-established in France, the approach is only just beginning to gain wider public recognition in Switzerland. When desire, erection, or orgasm are lacking, the assumption of naturalness often inevitably leads to the conviction: There is something fundamentally wrong with me. And this is precisely where Sexocorporel opens up a perspective that is both reassuring and exciting: The way we humans experience sexuality, what arouses us, and how we become aroused is the result of personal and social learning processes. These processes have led to the acquisition of various skills and limitations. And these—like all learning processes—can be influenced and expanded. For therapists, Sexocorporel offers a sound theoretical foundation and meticulous evaluation methods combined with practical sexological tools. In her over 20 hours of life lessons, Dr. Karoline Bischof provides a detailed and practice-oriented introduction to the most important principles of the Sexocorporel approach and presents five compelling case studies from individual and couples therapy sessions, illustrating the most common issues encountered in her practice. What does practical application look like? This section presents extensive case studies with detailed commentary. In this section, the clients are portrayed by improvisational actors based on a brief description of the initial situation. The course and dynamics of the case studies were not predetermined.
