Ribbons of Colour: artist Trudy Montgomery makes a large abstract painting

How do you make a large abstract painting from start to finish? In this video I make 5 foot painting in her studio - from the early stages of stretching a canvas - through to transforming a sketch to a full scale painting. I discuss my creative process, what inspires me to make such large expressive paintings, why I turn the canvas as I paint it, and the importance of colour and frequency in my art.
