What is the FLESH? It's not the "sinful nature".
The flesh is not a thing that spontaneously created itself after Adam and Eve sinned. The flesh is part of being human. The fleshly desires that lead to sin are the same fleshly desires that God created in us in the beginning. Romans 8:7-8: “Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.” Galatians 5:17: “For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.”
