The State of Mexico government has presented the La Paz – Texcoco Light Rail project, part of the Movimex Metromex project | Mexiquense Electric Train, a new rail line for the eastern part of the Valley of Mexico. This landmark project envisions a 21 km (11 mi) line with 12 stations, an approximate travel time of 30 minutes, and an estimated ridership of over 127,000 daily users.
