72 Volt Electric Motorcycle Conversion with 26 amp hour Battery Performance

In this video I show the performance of the QS138-C motor with the Fardriver ND72530 Controller and a 26amp hours battery. I have been driving this electric motorcycle conversion to work for about 6 months and am happy with the performance just not the range. I only work a few miles from my house so this setup is good for that, but I built a 60 amp hour battery for it to give me better range. Before I change out the battery I wanted to see the real world performance numbers. I show the top speed and amp draw for the 3 different gears to give you an idea of what you should expected if you do a similar build. Keep in mind these batteries are built with thin nickel strips and smaller gage wire so likely can't deliver as high a current and the controller and motor want. 1st gear topped out at 26mph and pulled around 100amps during acceleration then settled around 45amps to maintain the 26mph. 2nd gear topped out at 33mph and pulled around 140amps during acceleration then settled around 80amps to maintain the 33mph. 3rd gear topped out at 46mph and pulled around 180amps during acceleration then settled around 140amps to maintain the 46mph. This is good for a daily commuter if you don't have far to drive. Hopefully with the 60ah battery the performance will be much better.
