I thought I was just sharing another song I'd written. Then something happened I genuinely never expected. Instead of replying with a message, my lifelong friend Johnny wrote a song about me. To explain why that hit so hard, I'd have to explain decades of crossed paths, shared memories, family connections, complicated relationships, inside jokes, arguments, laughter and loyalty. Sometimes we don't even get along. Then there are moments like this where someone makes you feel truly seen. Around the same time, I also received confirmation that the Criminal Procedure Rule changes I've spent years working towards are still on track to come into force on 5 October 2026.
