In advance of their show in Dublin’s Olymipia Theatre, lrish traditional folk singer Jim McCann and English singer songwriter Ralph McTell give a performance of ‘Clare To Here’ on ‘The Late Late Show’. In his introduction, ‘The Late Late Show’ host Gay Byrne describes the duo as, "Two of the nicest people you could possibly meet in the business." A ballad about Irish emigration, ‘From Clare to Here’ was written by Ralph McTell and first released by him on his 1976 album ‘Right Side Up’. The song is widely covered and also features on Jim McCann’s 1980 album ‘Jim McCann’. This episode of ‘The Late Late Show’ was broadcast on 14 November 1981. The presenter is Gay Byrne.
