Joseph Haydn's beloved aria "Nun beut die Flur" ("With Verdure Clad") from the oratorio The Creation is a joyful celebration of the beauty and abundance of the natural world. Sung by the archangel Gabriel, the aria marvels at the flourishing of the earth following creation, with graceful melodies that reflect Haydn's gift for painting nature through music. This performance features guest artist Kristin Renee Young, soprano, with Aza Sydykov, piano. Lauded as "fantastic" by The Toronto Star and praised for her "masterful vocal control" by The Boston Musical Intelligencer, Kristin Renee Young is equally at home in opera, oratorio, recital, musical theater, and voiceover. She has performed at renowned venues including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center's Rose Theater, Meridian Hall in Toronto, and The Metropolitan Opera. Recent highlights include appearances with the Idaho State-Civic Symphony, New Camerata Opera, Fort Greene Orchestra, Opera Essentia, and upcoming performances with the Harris Theater in Chicago and the Quad City Symphony Orchestra. In addition to her singing career, Kristin made her professional voiceover debut at Carnegie Hall in 2022. She holds degrees from Boston University and Barnard College of Columbia University and is also a certified yoga instructor.
