It is about continually realigning one's life with God and making room for God's will in everyday life. He named prayer, renunciation, and acts of love as key paths. Regarding prayer, he explained that it primarily means seeking God's closeness and becoming aware of His presence. He quoted the words of a person praying: "I look at God, and God looks at me." "Prayer is often more about listening than speaking," said Zimmermann. Prayer is an expression of gratitude for God's faithfulness and love. Christian renunciation also means more than abstaining from food or the desire for a slim figure. It can also encompass a more conscious approach to consumption, media, and indulgences. "Such renunciation should not make us poorer, but richer: freer for God, freer for ourselves, and freer for the people around us." Love is ultimately shown in concrete acts of kindness towards others, such as visits, phone calls, or patient listening. Prayer, renunciation, and charity form a triad that helps Christians recognize "what remains and what truly matters."
