Procissão de Velas em honra de Nossa Senhora de Fátima

The city of Almeirim experienced a moment of faith and devotion on Saturday, May 30th, with the traditional Candlelight Procession in honor of Our Lady of Fatima. The act of faith began at the Chapel of Mercy in Almeirim, continuing along Rua Frazão de Vasconcelos, passing through Rua Professor Egas Moniz, Rua dos Aliados, Rua Conde da Taipa and Urbanização das Taipas, ending at the Parish Church. The religious event was attended by hundreds of faithful who accompanied the procession along the route, in an atmosphere of recollection and devotion. Along the streets, several houses were also decorated to mark the passage of the image, contributing to the symbolism of the celebration.
