Yanchep National Park - Ghost House Trail

Yanchep National Park - Ghost House Trail was wicked good! I was genuinely surprised by this stunning hiking trail. To think I've lived close to this trail for decades, and I have never hiked it until now boggles me. Although the distance is commendable at 12.5km, the hike itself is only moderate compared to other hikes I have completed. The highest point of elevation on this hike is about 35m and if you walk in a clockwise direction you get to walk down the steepest hill, instead of walking up it. I saw several kangaroos on this trail and heard tons of birds, of which the kookaburras laughed at me when I placed my hiking pack down on an ant nest and ended up with them all over my legs when I went to walk away. The big surprise was a decent-sized cave right next to the trail. I had a headlamp with me so went to check it out. It was so good I'm making a separate video about it. I completed this hike at the end of July so the forest was lush and green, it was the perfect time of year to hike the Ghost House trail. I highly recommend it.
