👉 On Sunday afternoon, an incident shocked the city of San Carlos de Bariloche when a baby, approximately one and a half years old, fell while trekking with his parents on Cerro Ventana. According to authorities from Esplife (a local wildlife rescue organization), the child was being carried in a baby carrier when, for reasons still under investigation, it came loose and rolled between 100 and 150 meters down a slope with loose rocks. The rescue team was immediately called out after the report was received around 6:00 p.m. Upon arriving at the scene, the rescuers found the child being attended to by medical personnel. Gustavo Sobarzo, one of the rescuers present, recounted: "When we arrived, they were already assisting him; he had scrapes on his face and some blood."
