2017 Ford Edge AWD 3.5 - Right Front Axle Seal Replacement

In today's video, we are working on a 2017 Ford Edge with the 3.5-liter engine equipped with all-wheel-drive and with the 6F50 6-speed automatic transmission. We are replacing the right front axle seal on this particular vehicle which has a different style design. The right front output shaft seal is for the PTU - Power Transfer Unit which has gear oil that takes 75W140 GL-5. There is also an inner seal or intermediate seal for the transmission which takes the Ford Mercon LV transmission fluid. Special tools are required for removal and installation of this job. This job can be challenging and difficult to do if it is your first time doing one, but after the first or second time it's not too bad of a job.
