The first thing about this unit compared to the Panasonic Toughbook CF-20 is that this one is a lot thicker. Additionally, this unit is a hybrid laptop, so the screen can be removed from the keyboard and then it becomes a tablet. The CF-33 also has dual batteries, one in the keyboard and another in the tablet part. This is so that the tablet can have a battery for when it is on its own. The keyboard is a really good backlit, chicklet keyboard. Just like the CF-20, the CF-33 does not have upgradable memory, what you get is what you'll have as long as you have it. The port covers on the CF-33 seem like they are better made and seem less likely to break compared to the Panasonic Toughbook CF-31. More specifically, the port cover for the power port on this unit is that it slides on this unit rather than hang. On previous models, like the CF-31 and the CF-19, these port covers on the power port were always breaking. Making the power port cover slide, that eliminates that problem. One big problem with upgrading to a CF-33 is that the car dock that you have for a CF-31 would not be compatible. So, you would have to upgrade your car dock too.
