Lyngby was formed back in 1921. the club has had a mixed history with both ups and downs but especially in the 80s and the 90s Lyngby won the Danish championship in both 1983 and 1992 and the Danish Cup 3 times and they have won 3 silver medals and 4 bronze medals but in 2001 went the club bankrupt and was relegated to the Danish series (Danmarks serien) it meant that the club had lost their professional team status. but in 2007 the club moved up in the danish superliga but now the club was just a bottom team... so the last 10 years lyngby most of all been an elevator (get up get down) but even though the club has had such a difficult time, their most loyal fans have been there with full sound and again in 2019 they have moved up again
