Class 50 thrash in 1984. 50 006 to Portsmouth on board 1Z42 from Stafford 10/6/84 #class50 #thrash

In 1984 this was a rare move to take a Class 50 to Portsmouth Harbour. So it was that on 10th June 1984 50006 powered 1Z42 from Stafford through to the seaside town. The window in the front coach provided the vantage point at a time when video was still a relatively new choice with which to capture such events. We have included all of the footage recorded that day - and we've also tweaked the sound a little too! Hope you enjoy.
