Sugar Cane Trains Australia: Mossman Mill Memories - the Director's Cut

The footage in this film was shot in and around the Far North Queensland town of Mossman in October 2015 and was published across three films in 2016. For this version, the footage has been re-edited, re-coloured and the audio has been remixed. Mossman crushed its last harvest in 2023, after which the mill went into administration. For the 2024 season, cane was trucked to the Mulgrave Mill at Gordonvale, south of Cairns (and later to the South Johnstone Mill, near Innisfail, with the journey to South Johnstone being completed on that mill's rail network). Some of the assets belonging to Mossman Mill have already been sold at auction although there is still some hope that the mill can be saved and re-opened.
