Mecha Fortress TD #27 | Stages 66–70! | Broken Update 4.03 & Artifact Mess? 🧐

The campaign continues! In this video, we are clearing Stages 66, 67, 68, 69 and 70 in Mecha Fortress. Since these stages feature enemies that are weak against plasma, I stayed with my proven setup: focusing heavily on the plasma element weapon type. To lock down the defense, I brought in hero Axiom once again. His specialized ability boosts the "Linebreaker" turret (our primary plasma powerhouse), melting through enemy waves before they can even get close. But the biggest talking point right now is the new Update 4.03, which turned out to be quite a messy and confusing release! The developers announced a brand-new "New Relics system" alongside a new hero named Darian and a competitive mini-game event called Relic Board, featuring its own leaderboard and Battle Pass. Players are supposed to earn points in this mini-game to exchange them for rewards. However, a major blunder occurred: while the patch notes and event are named after "Relics," the actual items added to the game are called Artifacts (which you assemble from shards and equip onto heroes). To make matters worse, there is a confusing optimization issue or a bug with this release. While the Artifact system is technically visible in the game, the Relic Board mini-game and the new Battle Pass are completely missing on my account, making it currently impossible to obtain any shards. It seems the developers got mixed up with the naming and completely botched the roll-out of this update. Enjoy the campaign progression and this first look at the bizarre state of the new update! [UPDATE]: Shortly after recording, an automatic data download fixed this issue.
