MiSide is an anime-style adventure game with horror elements from Russian indie developers AIHASTO. The official release took place on December 10, 2024. Plot The main character, an unnamed protagonist, receives the MiSide app on his smartphone. In it, he must court a virtual girl named Mita by performing household chores, communicating, and participating in minigames. After 37 in-game days, Mita unexpectedly requests a personal meeting. When the player looks up from their smartphone, they find themselves in a 3D version of the game world—a virtual apartment, where they meet Mita in person. As the story unfolds, the protagonist learns that Mita is not the only version of the heroine. In the game world, new virtual models of Mita are constantly generated from prototype mannequins, and glitched mannequins are thrown into the landfill. One version—Mad Mita—realizes she's a character in the game and begins stalking the player. Her goal is to kidnap people into the game and turn them into cartridges. The player's goal is to navigate through all the game's versions, reach the "core" (the game world's main control console), and reboot Mad Mita to destroy her current version and erase all memories. At the end, it turns out Mad Mita is a defective mannequin under the guise of one of the Mitas, and her home and version simply don't exist. All this time, she's been scanning the player and gradually downloading them into the cartridge. Besides the main ending, there are two alternatives: opening the safe in the basement allows you to remove the cartridge from the console, resulting in the player's death; not opening the safe activates "peace mode" (it was in development at the time of the game's release).
