Conférence de Titiou Lecoq : Pourquoi l’Histoire a effacé les femmes ?

Why are women so absent from course curricula and the names of lecture halls? French journalist and essayist Titiou Lecoq presents the conclusions of her book, "The Great Forgotten Women: How History Erased Women." In textbooks, in course curricula, even in the names of our lecture halls, women are scarce. Do you believe that confining women to so-called "domestic" work prevented them from excelling in the arts, sciences, or politics? Think again. Contrary to the myth of the "suppressed woman," many women have made great discoveries, created masterpieces, and held high political office. Even more "ordinary" women have influenced the course of history. But "as long as we don't look for women in history, we won't find them." Why are most of these women unknown today?
