14 Tage Kanu-Expedition durch Lapplands Wildnis | Helikopter-Drop am Piteälven – WildDrop Ep. 3

Dropped into the wilderness by helicopter – and then paddling for 14 days through Swedish Lapland. Welcome to WildDrop – our biggest wilderness expedition so far. For this adventure, we are dropped in the mountains of Lapland, close to the Norwegian border, at a remote lake (Pieskehaure). From there, our route leads back to the starting point through a system of crystal-clear mountain lakes and wild rivers (Piteälven) with rapids and waterfalls. Along the way, we face not only long lake sections but also demanding whitewater passages that take us through the remote mountain wilderness of Lapland with our canoes. During this expedition, we spend two weeks living out in nature and experiencing everything that comes with it. We camp in tents, cook our meals – often over a campfire – and because the amount of gear we can carry is limited, we also have to find part of our food along the way. Fishing therefore becomes an important part of the journey. In the waters of the Lapland mountains we expect trout, grayling, and Arctic char – with the personal challenge of catching at least one of each species. WildDrop is our format for real wilderness expeditions: remote locations and adventures where things don’t always go according to plan.
