Upgrade your Walmart Bike or Buy Something Better? Can you spend too much on a Big Box Bike?

Is it worth it to upgrade a Walmart bike? Can a Walmart bike handle a mountain bike trail? KevCentral has explored this topic with several project bikes that, IMO, are a success. Most are built with budget in mind and are very cost effective relative to their performance and capabilities. However, recently I completed my most expensive build ever - Project Ledge X1 Stage 3 - built off the new Mongoose Ledge X1 (the Ledge X2 uses the same frame.) I mentioned in my reveal video that there was a point where the extra money didn't scale well with the bike or performance vs my previous stage 2 build. In this video I expand on that.
