On our last Tuesday Garden Chat of 2025, we clean our favorite garden tools using a spritz of rubbing alcohol, a squirt of mineral oil, pumice stone and a blade sharpener. We wish we had remembered the linseed oil (a wicked fire hazard very helpful replenishing wood - dispose of rags carefully.) and 0000 (four aught) steel wool, so effective to clean rust away from metal without scratching..
